CCTV issued following theft of customised rear spoiler from vehicle in Margate

A blurry CCTV image has been issued by police

A CCTV image of two men has been issued by officers investigating the theft of a unique car accessory in Margate.

At around 11.20pm on Sunday 17 July, the rear window of a car parked in Cowley Rise was damaged and a customised rear spoiler was removed from the vehicle.

Investigating officer PC Luke Hewett said: “It is believed the spoiler will be recognisable by car enthusiasts so we ask people to keep be alert and contact Kent Police if they think they have seen it.

“I appreciate the CCTV image is quite blurry, but I hope someone recognises those pictured.”

Officers would like to identify and speak to two men pictured on CCTV as it is hoped they will have information which could assist enquiries.

Anyone with information about the missing spoiler or the identity of the two men should call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/140042/22.

You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or complete the online form on their website.

  1. Let’s hope that the cameras pointing into people’s living spaces and bedrooms are as blurry as this!

  2. Why would anyone want that on their car, let alone steal it.

I bet it added loads of rear downforce to that Ford Focus and was needed to keep it on the road with all that power from the engine!
