Teenager suffers face injuries during disturbance in Margate

Detectives are investigating after a teenager suffered injuries to his face during a disturbance in Margate.

Despite a noticeable police presence in the town yesterday (June 3) officers were called at 7.35pm to Marine Terrace following reports that two groups of people had become involved in a disturbance.

A 17-year-old boy was assaulted and received the injury to his face.  He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

An 18-year-old man from London was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault and remains in custody.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the assault to get in touch.
