Kent Community Health Trust, which runs the mass vaccination centres across the county, is urging anyone eligible who still has not had their first covid jab to book and receive it by the end of March.
The centre for Thanet is at the Saga building off Haine Road. A shortage in AstraZeneca vaccine will mean reduced services in April.
You can use this service if any of the following apply:
You are aged 50 or over
You are at high risk from coronavirus (clinically extremely vulnerable)
You are an eligible frontline health or social care worker
You have a condition that puts you at higher risk (clinically vulnerable)
You have a learning disability
You are a main carer for someone at high risk from coronavirus

Get it done! Its been reported that a third of people tested have the virus, but are asymptomatic, that is they don’t know they have it! This means they are spreading the virus around if they don’t wear a mask, indoors, or out! Get the jab, because you could kill someone if you are a “Carrier” thats what we used to call it when I was growing up in the 40’s and 50’s, and Poliomyelitis, scarlet fever, Dipheria, mumps, chicken pox, rubella, et al, were prevelant, until vaccines killed them off!

The really big danger is that if infection levels are not squashed, then mutations will arise that are less susceptible to the current vaccines (or not at all).
It really is5the case that we can relax now that most vulnerable people have been vaccinated.
That has to wait until over 70% of us have been vaccinated, the R level is well below 1, and infections are right down.
