Muffin Pug Rescue will be holding a National Bandana Walk on Sunday (May 19).
The group will be raising funds and awareness for the pug rescue organisation which was set up in 2015 following a cruelty case with a Pug being used as a bait dog.
So badly injured it necessitated amputation of her hind leg, MuffinPug is today well and coping brilliantly with her life changing disability. The organisation now rescues, rehabilitates, spays/neuters, fosters and rehomes an ever increasing number of pugs and pug crosses up and down the length of the country .
Those taking part in t South East Kent walk on Sunday will meet on the green above Sam’s café in Western Esplanade, Broadstairs, at 10.30am and walk through to the town.
So far 31 pugs and their owners are signed up to the event.
Organiser Debbie Neve said: “We rehomed our little black pug Saskia from the rescue last December. She was brought down from Cheshire to us by the charity together with a little fawn pug called Tilly.
“Tilly’s owner and I found each other and are now friends. We wanted to give something back by way of a thank you, hence us helping organise the bandana walk here.”
