Appeal for witnesses after man suffers head injury in Ramsgate assault

A 20-year-old man suffered injuries to his head and face after he was pushed by a stranger and hit his head on the floor in Ramsgate yesterday (March 15).

He was taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be serious.

The assault happened near the Pier Yard car park on Harbour Parade between 2.45am and 3am.

Officers attended and are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident, including a review of all available CCTV footage.

  1. Too many thugs go drinking until they have no recollection on what they are doing. They don’t learn by their mistakes as it’s difficult to catch them and enforce consequences. Bar’s are reluctant to stop selling to drunks as need the money they bring with them. Concentrating all these bars in one area is just making a no-go area for many locals and visitors in the evenings.

  2. This is an all too common occurrence in Ramsgate. Locals in Central Harbour and Eastcliff wards need to write to TDC’s licensing committee and their ward councillors and MPs to demand that action is taken to address this issue. Many nights of the week the town is a no go area. This cannot be allowed to continue.
