Police issue CCTV image as Margate amusement arcade robbery investigation continues

Officers investigating a robbery at Palace Amusements in Margate have issued a photo of a man they would like to identify.

It was reported that at around 4am on Sunday, January 27 a man in his 20s who was working in the amusements in the High Street, when he was approached by an unknown man who had entered the building and demanded access to the office on site.

Despite attempts by the member of staff to stop the offender, cash was then stolen.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Leah Roberts said: “We would like to identify the man pictured as he may be able to assist our enquiries.

“While the face may not be particularly clear in this image, we hope someone will recognise the clothing, footwear and build of the man and let us know who he is.

“Also, we continue to ask that anyone who might have seen something unusual around that time in Margate High Street near to the junction with the Centre, or any of the alley ways nearby, calls us on 01843 222289 quoting 46/17547/19.”
