Man found with head and face injuries after Ramsgate seafront assault

A man was found near Ramsgate seafront suffering with head and face injuries in the early hours of today (February 8).

Kent Police were called to a report of assault in Harbour Parade, close to Pizza Express, at 3.10am where they found the injured man, who is in his 40s.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

While at the scene officers arrested a 24-year-old man from Gravesend on suspicion of assault and affray.

Damage was then caused to a police vehicle and the man was further arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage.

He currently remains in custody while enquiries are ongoing.
