A home care company in Thanet is recruiting for 25 new staff.

Home Instead Senior Care, has relaunched its You Can Care campaign following its success last year.

Home Instead is holding a recruitment open day on Wednesday, February 13 from 10am to 1pm at Smiths Court Hotel Ltd 21-27 Eastern Esplanade, Cliftonville.

The event will give members of the public the chance to meet the team, have a chat, and to find out more about the services and employment opportunities there are within the award-winning home care company.

Skills for Care, an independent charity, estimates that 8% of roles in adult social care are vacant, which gives an average of approximately 110,000 vacancies at any one time. The statistics suggest that the sector is struggling to keep up with demand as the population ages.

Speaking of the campaign, Kevan Barr, owner of Home Instead Broadstairs, said: “The idea behind the ‘You Can Care’ campaign is to call out to people who may not have thought about a career in care. Caring is a truly rewarding job which offers excellent training and flexible hours.

“The hashtag #youcancare will be used throughout the campaign as a celebration of professional care givers and a show of solidarity with the hundreds of people working tirelessly in our local area to care for family members.”

Fiona, a caregiver for Home Instead,  said, “I feel proud to work at Home Instead.  Simply knowing what I do makes a huge difference to someone’s day is so rewarding.”

Home Instead Senior Care provides services tailored to the needs of individual clients. The service is flexible and is available from as little as one hour to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
