Cyclist taken to hospital following Ramsgate crash

Police and ambulance have attended a crash in Ramsgate this morning (January 20).

A cyclist was hit by a car at around 10.45am in Princes Road at the junction with Margate Road. The road is currently blocked and there is queuing traffic in Margate Road, in the viaduct area.

A Kent Police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at 10.45am regarding a collision involving a car and a bicycle on Princes Road at its junction with Margate Road.

“Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where the cyclist was treated for injuries. He was subsequently conveyed to a local hospital for further medical attention.”

  1. Cyclist? Red light? Viaduct junction? I use it often, but I’m only guessing. Wish the cyclist better soon.

    • Hi Tony, thank you for your concern. I am the cyclist’s Mum. He was very lucky, only sustaining concussion and bumps and bruises. He is in the mend thankfully.
