Sisters launch The Hubspot in Cliftonville with plans for community ‘back to work’ sessions

Sisters Thea and Clarissa have launched the Hubspot

Two sisters living in Cliftonville have launched a hot-desk and admin service – with plans to host courses for people who are unemployed or on low incomes to help them back into work.

Clarissa and Thea Reneé have opened The Hubspot in Cliftonville which offers services from hotdesking to book-keeping and internet research.

The pair hope that the office services will help them to fund a series of community workshops aimed at helping people get back into work or set up their own business.

Clarissa,44, who has been running online businesses for the last five years and previously worked for Wandsworth council, also works as a virtual PA and social media manager.

The mum-of-one said: “We want to help the community with workshops, business plans, how to set up your own business, mentoring and advice.

“There is also setting up a facebook group, using Instagram, things that people who have been out of work for a while might not know the ins and outs of. It’s about having the everyday tools to help people move forward, giving people self confidence and the ability to make life better.”

Thea, 32, also has a background working at Wandworth council. The mum-of-one said: “We would especially like to support people on low incomes or who are unemployed to access opportunities from NLP training to starting your business and anything in between!

“We are really keen to involve the community and give something empowering.”

It is hoped the pair can also gain funding to create a free resource for women who experiencing domestic violence.

The pair have been awarded their social enterprise certificate and are hopeful that they will receive some funding from County Councillor Barry Lewis but are also keen to make more people aware of the services already on offer.
