Cliftonville dog walker attacked with pool cue and robbed

A man walking his dog in Cliftonville has been assaulted and robbed.

It was reported to police that at around 8.30pm on Monday 8 October the man in his 30s was walking his dog in Ethelbert Terrace when two men came out of the Lido and approached him.

One of the men was reportedly carrying a pool cue and assaulted the victim. The men then walked off along the seafront in the direction of Fort Crescent.

The victim suffered head injuries that needed hospital treatment. His phone and bank card were also stolen during the incident.

The first suspect was described as a white man, aged 35 to 40 years old, with a gold tooth and black short spiky hair. He was reportedly wearing a blue t-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms.

The second suspect was described as Asian, with thick black hair, and wore a grey jumper which had black stripes on the arms.
