Oh Sees

Oh Sees are an American rock band from San Francisco, California, formed in 1997. The band currently consists of primary songwriter and core member John Dwyer (vocals, guitar), alongside Tim Hellman (bass), Dan Rincon (drums) and Paul Quattrone (drums). Oh Sees sound incorporates a wide range of rock genres, including 1960s garage rock and psychedelic rock, punk rock, noise rock, art punk, and 1980s post-punk.

Outdoor cinema – Titanic
August 31, Dreamland, opening times from 6.30pm to 11pm.

The final outdoor film screening this Summer at Dreamland will be the box office smash Titanic – and anyone called Jack or Rose will get park entry for free.
It is 20 years since the film, following the romantic tale of Rose and Jack on the ill-fated Titanic, was first released.
Tickets from £5 + booking fee, from £2.50 + booking fee for Dreamland members.
All ages are welcome to attend the PG rated screening but under 14s must be accompanied by an adult (over the age of 18) also holding a valid ticket for the event.
The screening will be signed by BSL interpreters.
Free entry to the film is for the screening only. Ride access not included. Upgrades are available on entry to the event. Valid ID must be presented and there is limited availability.

Redbull Quicksand Challenge
September 1, Margate main sands

Runners will test their mettle against hundreds of other competitors in this innovative and gruelling seaside race.
Red Bull Quicksand could be the most challenging mile you ever run. Competitors will push through the sand in an energy-sapping knockout format, with heats, semi-finals and finals.
Competitors will be split into heats with men (9.30am-10.50am) and women (11.10am-11.50am) in separate heats.
Gorilla Circus -Altitude

To celebrate the end of their residency at Dreamland Margate, Gorilla Circus will be hosting a free night-time performance of their hit show “Altitude”.
Featuring Flying Trapeze, high wire and a host of other high level dare devilry, this 50 minute spectacular for all the family is not to be missed!
Tickets are FREE, but must be booked in advance. Friday 31st August is now sold out but there is availability for September 1.
The event will take place on the Tivoli Gardens at the top of the event site, which is set in an unreserved outdoor picnic-style concert arena, therefore places cannot be reserved, however tickets must be booked in advance.

Kent Coastal Marathon and Half Marathon 2018
September 2, Starting at 9.30am
The race starts at Palm Bay and follows the coast to Ramsgate via Broadstairs and King George VI Park before turning around prior to the Granville Theatre and returning via Dumpton Park Drive to Palm Bay.At this point the Half Marathon finishes.
Runners undertaking the Full Marathon continue from Palm Bay along the coast through Margate and on to Grenham Bay, Birchington before turning around and returning to Palm Bay.

Addington Street Revival Fair

The event will host some 80 stalls and take place not just in Addington Street but also Vale Square, Nelson Crescent and Spencer Square.
As well as vintage, antique and craft items on offers, there will be food, music, entertainment, classic cars and bikes and rides.
