What’s on offer at the free Cliftonville Games 2018

Fun at the Cliftonville Games

It is almost time for this year’s Cliftonville Games.

The event, being held on September 1, is organised by the Gordon Road Area Street Scheme (Grass) residents’ group, working with the Cliftonville Community Centre and A Better Cliftonville (ABC).

As well as bringing the community together in free activities the aim is to promote good health through physical activity.

When and where

September 1, Noon to 5pm at Oval Lawns, Eastern Esplanade, Cliftonville

What’s on offer

Live music, stalls from local clubs and organisations, arts and crafts fair, street food stalls

Inflatable obstacle courses fastest child in their age group wins a prizes

Face painting and tombola

Hula hooping, volleyball and football,

Classic, Vintage and Retro Cars and scooters

Margate Social Choir

Bouncy castles

Dog show, starting at 1pm (arrive earlier to register) categories include:
•Waggiest tail
•Best trick
•Best behaved
•Best dressed
•Dog most like it’s owner
•Fastest dog
•Best in Show

Entry is £2 per dog and there will be some fantastic prizes from sponsors Hiro + Wolf designer dog wear and Doggie Apparel.

Margate Taskforce – Offering cross organisational advice and support

The Games are looking for volunteers to help out on the day, traders who would like stalls and donations to help fund the free event.
