An evening of avant-garde theatre, comedy, music, dance and burlesque set in the iconic Lido will take place next month as part of the POW! Thanet festival.
Wink The Other Eye is curated by Screaming Alley and hosted by seaside burlesque star Missy Maybe.
The line up includes Margate’s Brigitte Aphrodite whose punk poetry has won rave reviews around the UK. Brigitte will be joined by the pioneering dance group, Moving Memory; Ray and Lennie of Pink Suits; Glory Pearl – the naked stand up; Broken Folk by Lunatraktors; operatic arias from Laure Meloy; chanteuse Marianne Dissard and sultry jazz and blues singer Kai Hoffman.
There will also be performances from Alissa Cooper, Jessica Jordan-Wrench, Marj Hogarth and Victoria Barrow-Williams and music from the house DJs.
Wink The Other Eye is at the Lido in Ethelbert Terrace, Cliftonville, on March 9 from 8pm.
