Harry Potter writer’s ‘Fantastic Beasts’ fun for children at Waterstones in Westwood Cross

Fantastic Beasts activities at Waterstones, Westwood Cross

The ‘Harry Potter book’ event returns for the fourth time to Waterstones at Westwood Cross this week.

Themed on the Fantastic Beasts series, written by Harry Potter author J K Rowling, there will be activities for children aged seven to 10 and prizes for those turning up in the best Harry Potter costumes.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them  is the first tale in the series and goes back to 1926 and a world preparing itself for war against the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald. The second, The Crimes of Grindelwald, is due to hit the big screen in November.

The following three films are expected to span 19 years, building up to some major events in the Harry Potter back story.

The Fantastic Beasts fun at Waterstones is on Thursday (February 1) from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
