A whole year of events, with a liberal smattering of celebrity guests, has been lined up by the BroadstairsLit group.
The volunteers, with support from Thorley Taverns, The Yarrow, House of Martin and KCC, have organised author talks, book signings, a musical and a party night in their quest to host a series of literary events in the town.
The first event features Great British Bake Off star, Chetna Makan, who will be working with chefs at the Yarrow Hotel to produce a wonderful Indian supper, based on her own acclaimed recipes.
Ticket price includes a three-course meal and a chance to hear Chetna sharing her tips, in conversation with author Jane Wenham-Jones, as they discuss her latest book “Chai, Chaat & Chutney: a street food journey through India.”
This will be followed by a Q&A and book signing.
Tickets are now available online at or from House of Martin, 60 High Street, Broadstairs,Wednesday to Saturday 10am to 5pm – cash only.
The event is on January 25 at The Yarrow Hotel, Broadstairs and starts at 7pm with Prosecco and canapes.
Tickets £32.50 (plus booking fee online)
