The Wizard of Oz

Theatre Royal Margate

Wicked Productions return to the Theatre Royal Margate for their third stage spectacular this year.

Join Kansas girl Dorothy Gale as she’s blown away to the magical and enchanted land of Oz.

On her journey to the Emerald City she is joined by a Scarecrow, with no brain, a Tin Man, with no heart, and a cowardly Lion. Will their wishes be granted by the all-powerful Wizard of Oz, or will their plan be thwarted by the Wicked Witch of the West?

‘Jezo’ returns for his third year to play the lovable and hilarious Scarecrow, whilst Margate pantomime favourite, Georgia Rowland-Elliott, will return to play Dorothy.

With chart topping songs, opulent costumes, a stunning set and endless effects – this Christmas Pantomime promises to be a lavish laugh-a-minute family show!

Performances for the Wizard of Oz open on Saturday, December 9 and run through until New Year’s Eve – The Get Your Own Back Finale – so there’s no excuse not to pay the historic Theatre Royal Margate a visit and experience for yourself the magic of a live Christmas panto.

Jack and the Beanstalk

Granville Theatre, Ramsgate

This year’s spectacular production of Jack and the Beanstalk contains all the essential ingredients of the traditional family entertainment that the Granville has been producing for over 10 years.  Colourful costume and settings, superb actors and vocalists, high-energy choreography and lots of audience participation come as standard and to top it all a dancing Cow!
The cast is headed by local favourite Frank Tucker as ‘Dame Trot’.  Jonathon Fox returns as ‘Baron Fleshcreep’ and James Freeman bounces back as ‘Silly Simon’.  New faces include Laura Joely Regan, playing the title role of ‘Jack’ and Issy Anstead as his feisty friend ‘Jill’.  Michaela Bennetts-Higgins, who appeared in the Granville’s ‘Sleeping Beauty’ and ‘Cinderella’, returns as the hilarious ‘Fairy Wigglebottom’.
Daisy the Cow, who thinks she is the star of the show, says you had better get a ‘moo-ve’ on to book tickets for this ‘cream’ of a pantomime.

Shows run from December 14 until January 3.
