Fancy a round of golf with a Kent Cricket star?
Cricketers Darren Stevens and Mitch Claydon will be joining the Oasis Golf Day at North Foreland Golf Club on Friday, April 28 and fans can book a round of golf with the stars.
Play will begin with a shotgun start at 12:30pm and there will be an opportunity for two teams of three players to take on the challenging course in a team alongside either Darren or Mitch.
Before teeing off guests can enjoy coffee and bacon rolls in the clubhouse bar whilst taking in stunning views over the North Foreland course and coastline. Teams of four will then head out for 18 holes of golf on the magnificent course. Competitions and winners’ prizes are included in the price of the day as is a two course meal which will be served back at thecClubhouse once all have completed their rounds.
Dee Murphy, community fundraiser at Oasis, said: “We’re delighted that both Darren and Mitch can join us for what is set to be a great day’s Golf and are very much looking forward to welcoming them and all the players on the 28th ”
The day has been very well supported by local businesses with Lanes Printers sponsoring the menu and Spurling Cannon accountants sponsoring the winner’s prizes. Barclays Bank have also agreed to match fund monies raised in the auction and raffle which will give a great boost to the day.
Included in the auction will be an overnight stay at the Yarrow Hotel in Broadstairs, a signed Manchester United Football as well as a round of golf and lunch at Royal St George’s Golf Club in Sandwich.
The cost for three non-member players to join the cricketer’s team will be £230.

Oasis was founded in 1994 to offer emergency, safe and temporary accommodation as well as ongoing support for families who have suffered domestic abuse across Kent.
Two women are murdered every week in the UK by their partner or ex-partner; Oasis works to keep victims safe and help them to rebuild their lives free from abuse.
The charity supports children and young people both in their refuge and in the wider Kent community, sharing the message that love shouldn’t hurt.
Oasis also has a charity shop, ‘The Oasis Shop’, in the heart of Margate’s Old Town.
