Hurrah, it’s nearly the weekend and, fingers crossed, the sun will be shining.

To help you make the best of your time off we’ve found 11 things to do in Thanet this Saturday and Sunday, but don’t forget to visit one of the isle’s beaches and grab an ice cream if it stays warm!



A Date In The Gallery:An Exhibition Of Sam Toft

(Saturday and Sunday)

Lovelys Annex Gallery presents ‘A Date in the Gallery’, an exhibition of Sam Toft’s limited edition signed prints.

Using mixed media, pencil, oil pastels, coloured inks and her own idiomatic techniques, Sam depicts a seaside world of faded ice-cream colours where the breeze is always blowing and life is utterly delicious.

Lovelys is at 248 Northdown Road, Cliftonville. Opening times 9am to 5pm.

Having cut his punk teeth in infamous CRASS, Steve Ignorant’s latest project – Slice Of Life – allows for the more contemplative side of his song-writing to reveal itself.

Currently, Slice of Life are writing new songs and touring extensively all over the UK and Europe. They have recently supported kindred-spirits Sleaford Mods to capacity crowds at venues such as London’s Forum and performed at the Rebellion, Wickerman and Something Else A Bit North festivals.
