It’s that time again when we take a look at the fun on offer for the weekend.
Fingers crossed for some sunshine!

Youngsters from 36 Thanet schools have produced 740 pieces of art which will be exhibited at Westwood Cross Sainsbury’s from May 12-14. Organisers for the big Margate painting will be in the store foyer on Friday, May 12 from 4pm until 6.30pm, on Saturday, May 13 from 10am until 4pm and on Sunday, May 14 from 11am until 4pm.
I can See at Pie Factory Margate
Runs until May 16
Since her sell out show in 2012, Lucianna Whittle has been quietly working to produce the body of paintings for ‘I want to see’, the exhibition that marks her return to the public gallery setting after a deep exploration into her personal artistic practice.
Rooted in the spiritual interplay of darkness with light, Lucianna’s paintings are challenging, uplifting and universal. To be confronted by paintings of this scale (up to 2m) can feel disconcerting before the careful balance of colour and light reveal a softness and sense of opening, that can elevate the viewer. Come prepared to be moved: the effect of these paintings may just stay with you.
Pie Factory Margate, 5 Broad Street, Margate, open 10am to 5pm daily.
